The Sykes Pickavant 18771200 Swivel Ball Joint Tool - D2/P38 with Press Frame is a Land Rover-specific solution for servicing twin swivel ball joints on the front axles of Discovery 2 (1998-2004) and Range Rover P38A (1994-2002) models. This kit includes the adaptor set, press frame and adaptor ring needed to remove and refit the joints while the axle remains on the vehicle, providing a €œtake the press to the car€� approach. When combined with a 12 tonne hydraulic ram from the 187 hydraulic series (included in 18771100), it delivers controlled force for pressing out worn joints and installing new ones accurately. Designed, tested and manufactured in Great Britain, the 18771200 system reduces disassembly time and labour cost compared to removing the axle for workshop pressing.
