The Sykes Pickavant 01441100 Thread Reform Tool (R110XL) M30-M110 is a heavy duty external thread restoration system designed for recovering damaged or distorted threads on shafts, axles, studs and suspension components. Covering M30 to M110 thread sizes, it uses cold-forming rather than cutting, pushing metal back into the correct profile without removing material. This enables expensive components to be repaired rather than replaced, reducing downtime in commercial vehicle, plant and industrial maintenance. The process is entirely manual, requiring no electricity or powered equipment, making it suitable for mobile technicians and on-site work. Threads reformed using the cold-working method finish smoother than cut threads, reducing the chance of corrosion and extending service life.
