Unlike wire brushes, Grittyflex abrasive nylon adapts to the workpiece contours on contact, making it particularly effective on curved, irregular or delicate surfaces where wire brushes would cause uneven results or surface damage. As the nylon filament wears down in use, new abrasive grit is continuously exposed, maintaining a uniform and consistent removal rate throughout the working life of the brush. This variant is grit 80 (red) for more aggressive roughing and coarser material removal. The colour coding makes it simple to identify and select the correct grit for each task.
