Operating from a maximum working pressure of 8 bar, the extra heavy duty pneumatic cylinder delivers up to around 2452 kilograms of compression force with a 330 millimetre stroke, allowing even stubborn springs to be compressed safely. The unit incorporates full height steel safety gates and a safety cut out that deactivates the cylinder when the guard is open. Automatic jaw levelling compensates for conical and misaligned springs, while interchangeable jaws and vice arrangements cater for different spring designs. Bracket A and Bracket C are included to cover common spring sizes, along with a strut vice and upper top mount bracket.
