BG Ethanol Fuel System Drier (280E, 345ml) absorbs and disperses moisture in E10 and other ethanol-blended petrol fuels. Ethanol-blended fuels absorb atmospheric moisture ” particularly during storage in damp conditions ” which then separates from the fuel as free water. Free water in the fuel system causes corrosion, injector damage and difficult cold starts. BG Ethanol Fuel System Drier (PN 280) works by forming a stable solution with both the water and the petrol, dispersing the moisture as a burnable blend that passes harmlessly through the engine. Use 50ml to treat approximately 15 litres (4 gallons) of petrol, or 3 oz for larger tanks. This formula is particularly suitable for vehicles with carburettors, older fuel systems and classic cars where water accumulation during seasonal storage is a common problem. Regular use prevents the progressive corrosion that builds up inside metal fuel tanks and carburettor bodies when ethanol-blend petrol is left standing. Also available as a 100ml small can (SKU: 281100E) and as a complementary formula 281E (PN 281) with slightly different application guidance.
