BG Ethanol Fuel System Defender® (2136, 177ml) protects petrol engines against the degradation caused by ethanol-containing fuel such as E10 ” now the standard grade of unleaded petrol in the UK. Ethanol-blended fuels are prone to oxidative degradation that produces gum and varnish deposits in the fuel system, particularly during periods of infrequent engine use. BG Ethanol Fuel System Defender® inhibits the free radical oxidation mechanism responsible for this degradation, keeping intake valves, fuel injectors and combustion chambers clean. A corrosion inhibitor protects metal fuel system components from the corrosive effects of ethanol, while a moisture dispersant prevents water separation ” a common problem with ethanol-blended fuels in storage or seasonal-use vehicles such as motorcycles, boats and garden machinery. Add to the petrol fuel tank every 3,000“5,000 miles (4,800“8,000 km). Also available in 325ml (SKU: 213E). Add to the fuel tank at the recommended dose for optimum results. Suitable for use in both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles across a wide range of engine types. Sealer fibres are six to ten times smaller than the narrowest passages in the cooling system ” seals leaks without clogging radiators or heater cores.
