The Sykes Pickavant 31407500 Petrol Compression Tester is specially designed for modern petrol engines with deep-seated spark plug ports and long, narrow threads. Supplied with M12 and M14 spark plug adaptors, it covers a wide range of manufacturers using M12 plugs, including Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroën, Dacia, Fiat, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Mercedes, Mini, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Smart, Toyota and VW. A positive-lock quick-release connector ensures adaptors cannot be accidentally left in the cylinder head, while self€‘centring adaptors reduce the risk of cross€‘threading when screwing into the plug port. The gauge reads 0-20 bar (0-290 psi), providing clear compression values for diagnosis of poor starting, misfires or loss of power.
