The Osborn ZIRCON POWER is an all-round flap disc featuring a zirconium corundum abrasive band on a cotton polyester cloth, purpose-built for surface grinding on steel and stainless steel. This 115mm tapered disc carries a grit 40 abrasive, fits the 22.23 mm bore standard across most angle grinders, and is rated to 13,300 RPM. Zirconium corundum is a tough, high-performance abrasive grain that resists clogging and maintains a high removal rate even under sustained pressure - making it significantly more durable than aluminium oxide equivalents. The glass fibre backing plate provides rigidity and support throughout the disc's life, delivering an even grinding finish from first use until the abrasive grain is completely consumed. Unlike metal-backed discs, no scratches appear on the workpiece even as the disc wears. The tapered profile concentrates grinding action at the disc edge, making it particularly effective for weld seam processing, edge grinding and surface preparation work on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
