In older engines where ring land sealing is poor or cylinder wall areas are worn, oil film fails at high operating temperatures. Ring land sealing loss and cylinder wall wear reduce compression and allow oil seepage past worn rings. BG RF-7 (107E, 325ml) increases the viscosity of the oil under high heat conditions to address this, reduces oil seepage past worn rings and protects cylinder walls from further wear. It prevents oil oxidation and contains a seal conditioner as part of its formula. In older or higher-mileage engines, BG RF-7 reduces oil seepage past worn rings and prevents dry starts by ensuring oil clings to metal surfaces between uses. This helps to restore a level of compression and engine power that has been progressively lost to wear, without requiring mechanical repair. Add to engine oil between oil changes. Particularly beneficial for higher-mileage petrol and diesel engines. Follow the dosage guidance on the product label. BG RF-7 is described for use in engines.
