This approach virtually eliminates damage to surrounding components and removes the need to extract stubborn hub pinch bolts commonly found on modern VAG vehicles such as Audi A4 and VW Passat. Bearings are supported on nut assemblies to reduce drag while being pushed in or out, and flange extraction bolts are provided to speed up hub removal.
