Battery auto-detect intelligently recognises whether the connected battery is 12v or 24v prior to beginning any charging or boosting cycle. Low 1v detection improves the chances of recovering deeply discharged batteries, while an Alternator Test mode indicates alternator working condition before charging or boosting is applied. Compatible battery types include WET, MF, EFB, GEL, AGM, CA and 12v LiFePO4 (4-cell Lithium-Ion), making the STARTMASTER DSC350B one of the most versatile units in the professional workshop context.Charging current ranges from 5A to 20A on continuous input (1,400W \/ 5A, 230v 50Hz), with a boost charging current of 35A available for up to five minutes. For jump-start duties, the unit draws 7.5kW \/ 32A for up to five seconds, delivering a maximum start current of 400A on a fully discharged battery or 300A on a medium-charged battery, through a 200A fuse. The unit operates within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to 20°C and carries an IP20 protection rating. Safety is addressed through an anti-spark system, reverse polarity protection, overcharge protection, and an overheat alarm that automatically restarts the unit once it has cooled. An LED display screen and soft-touch control panel simplify operation, and single-person use is supported for engine boost-starts.
